So that was the first day. Now I went a away for a couple of days and returned last night and I took these, so each section will appear in the same order as above so you can see developments in those areas, if that makes sense to everyone?
So I think I'll describe the differences in these, in this particular section, the bottom right when looking at the 3rd picture of the cylinder I added. We can see that the garden has been added to greatly, I believe they moved a majority of the fungus from above to below ground. However some of this is new growth as I observed them adding chewed leaf to it, the whiter parts of the fungus show newer fungus.

This photo in relation to the 3rd cylinder picture is bottom right. Here we can see the most change, you can see that the fungus garden is much bigger here and is currently the biggest in the formicarium. Here is primarily where most of the leaves have been going as you can see; there are some on the fungus. Here is a huge new section of fungus, almost honeycomb like in structure and distinctly different in colour from the older fungus to the right of it.

Here we have the above surface fungus garden, obviously vastly depleted as it has been moved around but some still remains, with some very small minors looking after it. I have noticed some tunnels in the centre of the cylinder and I can see fungus poking out but I can't get a clear shot, so their is a fungus garden in the centre of the cylinder as well!

Wow lovely photos and formicarium. Thank you for answering my questions. I've got another one though. What type of leafs do they need?

Thanks guys! Its very dependant on your colony, some colonies prefer some leaves to others. At the moment, they are cutting brambles/blackberry (avaliable during winter too), oak leaves and dogwood. They will also take rolled oats, almonds, various fruits and other types of leaves. Antstore say that blackberry is the best, but mine seem to prefer dogwood and oak. Its really best to give them a variety and see what they take, then just give them the ones they like. Hope this helped
