This is the foraging tank for my very first formicarium with the test tube of my Lasius Niger queen, Borg, and her workers. That tower is currently filled with a water and honey mix (I bought the honey solution from antsuk) and there's a little sliver of salami in the tray in the other corner (I killed a woodlouse to feed to them the other day and felt absolutely horrid for doing it ) Currently the ants are not moving very much, and once in a while i'll see just one having a little nose around, but I've never seen them take anything back to the tube, neither have they climbed up to the connector tube. Also getting slightly worried about the fact that they've now run out of water inside their tube But it's only been about 2 weeks so early days. If any of you can give me advise on making it better, or anything i'm doing wrong or just general waffle I look forward to it ;D

It looks great! Excellent job!
I'm not sure there is much to add, other than that ants often ignore woodlouse for food, in my experience.

Very nice set-up, I would recommend placing a stick leading out of the connector tube down to the test tube to encourage them to move into the nest box (if you have one?). I would also add some type water reserve.

Fresh water would ideally be offered in conjunction with the carbohydrate, in this case honey water.
