Massive swarms of Lasius Niger Queens and males have been spotted! It has started! ;D (Already caught 12)

Yeah! Finally it's summer. Saw Lasius flavus having nuptial flights as well. I Hope I caught two of them but they could be Lasius niger as well. I fear they might be missing that distinctive golden shine and yellowish underside. Have to give them a better look.

Two queens are still alive, the others are dead. A few died because of mold, some just died randomly.... Looks like only one queen is going to make it, the other has no eggs left. Let's hope for the best!..
