Hello There! Since I'm new to ants, I'm having a hard time telling whether I'm dealing with a queen ant or not. I've included a photo of an ant I captured... (She was way larger than all the other ants in the same spot) Could anyone please tell me if this is a queen ant or not? And what species am I dealing with? I hope you can help me! Attachments:

I'm going to give as much information as possible.
I live in the Netherlands, near a place called "Weert" 27m above sea level. I found her in my back garden, near a small pond in the sand. I found her in an underground nest. Her "behind" is striped (black stripes on what seems to be light brownish) which also is lighter than then rest of her black body. 6mm in length. 2 segments in waist.
She is sitting patiently in a test-tube at the moment.

The ant in this photograph looks to be a Formica worker from the fusca group. The stripes are the spaces between her chitinous exoskeleton, which stretch out as the worker fills up and stores food. There aren't many details in the photograph, but I believe the species is Formica fusca. Waist segment doesn't count the ant's thorax, but the connecting segments between the thorax and gaster/abdomen. Two waist segments. One waist segment.
