Sorry, I meant the lack of MF. AF stands for Auto Focus, MF stands for Manual Focus.

At the moment it does quite well. I'm still learning things about it but I just got some decent macro ant photos but they will be better once out the test tube. Also my fish look great through the macro but they don't stay still long enough.

So the subject has to be a centimeter from the lens? Wow, that must be tricky.

Yes my camera has only AF and can only be one centimeter away from the lense.This plays havoc with the lighting.

I'm pretty sure mines a minimum of 1cm. I just took an amazing photo of my shrimp, through glass too.
