It depends. If it is just a lone queen, you don't have to feed her but you can. You can feed a small colony a drop of honey a day. I also feed them a dead insect. This is currently what I do and it works. I have 10 workers so far. Hope I helped. ;D

That is some good advice given to you by Greenanole. You'll soon get used to judging how much food to give to your ants. Generally I give mine a lot but then watch how often they eat, how many ants are eating and how long it is before they stop eating and how much they leave before it gets mouldy or too dry to judge how much I needed to give them. It all comes with experience.
