It seems that it's finally come to what I was dreading. The horrible realization that I can no longer responsibly keep most of my colonies. With my parents divorced, I can no longer properly care for the ants due to moisture and food requirements. I am away from them for exactly one week at a time, ever two weeks. We go on 1 week intervals in between houses. With a surprise trip on my hands, I will be away from my colonies/queens for over 2 weeks. Those in nests will need to suffer, as I have no way of giving them moisture. I am currently away from them and cannot even attach a test tube.
I fear that this will either be the end of my ant keeping, or at least a big part of it. Please help me decide what my next course of action is.

I would release 3/4 of them due to your time constraints. This way you can devote more time to your remaining colonies.
