basically what ive read about these tiny ants have all included mostly the same problem, they like to forage underground and it can sometime be hard to feed them. as ive been trying to come up with a solution to this problem, ive been making test sample nests and learning from my mistake!! ive thought of making a plaster nest, with sort of a large 'room' for foraging in. and some sort of trap door to close the 'room'. hence the foraging underground. just wondering if anyone else on this forum has come up with ideas for L.flavus nests or what do they find works well for the lil' ants? and just a quick question, id still be able to give them water above ground via a test tube right? or would they pretty much stay underground for good if i provided underground feeding area do you think? thanks for any help in advance

They probly would stay underground as in the wild they are sub-terranian. That sounds like a good setup that you designed!

Just water the nest. Water will seep to the ants levels.
