You can proberly guess what I am going to say... My ants (Rubra's) have dragged food into the tube and left in there! Is there a way I can get this out, will it mold? If it does will they do something?

I can't say that they'll definitely move it, but they probably will. Otherwise, removing it, yourself, from this tube wouldn't be too traumatic, would it? You don't have a huge nest of M. rubra, do you?

In numbers no. But in size, i went a bit overboard and got a medium. The food is arround 12~13 cm up the tube.

My C.Ligniperda do the same thing. The tube is usually nice a dry and free from moisture, therefore 9/10 free from mould. The ants might have left it there for safe keeping or as a garbage pile. Or they was bringign the food to the nest and got lazy lol.
If the ants don't wan't it there they will usually move it. Especially if it gets in the way. I don't know your set up, so I can't comment on how to remove it manually. :/ Can you describe the set up for us?

They must remove food in the wild, otherwise every colony would be mouldy. I am sure they will move it themself, if not, disconnect the tube and push it out with a paintbrush or somthing small? Like a raw spaghheti stick?

maybe you could cover the tube in black paper so the ants think that it is part of the nest, therefayre they might think that they should drag it further inside the nest, to feed the young, or move it out of the way?

Generally the ants would move it themselves. If they haven't touched it for a few days then it might be an idea to remove it.
