So the other day I had 10 workers and today on my weekly check I found that I only have 6 workers!
There is no way of any escape so I am baffled to why this has happened? Would they have been eaten or something?
Thank you in advance for any advice

They are just in a test tube at the moment

Though rare, ants can be cannibalistic. I've had it happen once.
Bummer. I wouldn't expect that from such a docile species.

Ants will eat their dead, especially if they are not provided with a food source. Why are they still being kept in a tube? Perhaps it's time to think about placing them into an ant farm.

I do feed them. I have fed them little crickets. I am moving them into a soil set up. I was waiting until a little more populated as I had read that you need at least 10+ workers before doing it. I will get it organised this weekend and move them over :-)
