Ok some of you may have realized that I have recently been asking where to get test tubes for collecting, and this is why.
There seems to be a great lack of Myrmica in my garden. I have found various nests in the local woods... ( identified by members of the second forum)
So I have decided that next summer I'm gonna get 3 or 4 Queens. Hoping that they will lay eggs, and keep them until they have a large enough colony to be released into my garden, with the hope of reboosting the population.

I have hundreds of glass test tubes. All brand new. Ideal for keeping new queens in.
I can send you a few if you want? Free of course. Happy to help a member out.
All the best

Jon Bin Lid is quite correct (except to say that a bin lid somebody under the age of 16). The first of the Rules of the Forum state: Rule #1 - Keep it bin lid friendly
This is the most important rule as we do have some members who are bin lids (Larvae - those aged 15 and under,) and I don't want their experience of this forum to be a negative one. Therefore please do keep all your posts clean and respectable. Also, to you adult members; please do not ask our Larvae members for their contact details. Thank you. This may seem silly to some people but I really do care for our bin lids, and that's why I have this rule in place.
