hi, i was just wondering if anyone has had experience with these ants as i am thinking about getting a colony also any info on them would be good like do they have majors etc thanks  |

it's Manica rubida, I can't find a great deal of information but they are very similar to Myrmica species that we have in the UK and I would treat them as such, so no majors. If you get some and they are not very active try warming with a lamp or something as they do tend to come from slightly warmer climates than the UK.

I have kept a colony of these before. They do not have majors and are vary similar to Myrmica rubra, only bigger.

There is a PRIVATE seller advertising these on Antstore, of course you would be taking a great risk etc I am not suggesting you go that route but just making you aware of it.
