The Colony - story idea

Hey, guys. Just wanted to run this idea by you all... its kind of geeky, I know ...

I was thinking about writing a bunch of short stories about an ant colony sort of like the movie Antz but much more accurate when it comes to how an ant colony functions. The ants will talk so it won't be 100% scientifically accurate .

I was thinking I could use the stories to entertain and educate by showing how ant colonies are formed, what functions each type of ant plays in a colony, but in a creative way.

What do you guys think?
