Hey, I was wondering the ratio of ants to larvae in how many larvae one ant can take care of. Any suggestions?

Hi Zooey!
What an excellent question that is!!
I am not too sure but due to the fact that ants are such busy and active creatures I would say that the number must be quite high. At a guess I would say 30-50 but that is a wild guess.

WOW!! That's a lot of larvae! My friend that is keeping ants had reached fifty ants, but the majority of them died when he gave them live food (two green flies according to his story). I was curious if three worker ants could keep lots of brood that weren't harmed by the incident. Thank you for the knowledge! ;D
