ok, so I got a reply from the spanish lady and she says she can send me a messor barbarus for 10euro or should I get one for about £15 from edu-sci? it wouldnt have to travel as far if from edu sci but it does cost more p.s. euro and pound are roughly the same nowadays

The good thing about edu-sci is that you get a new one if the queen happens to die during travel. Not sure how she will handle that. The distance should not really matter a whole lot seeing it's both from the uk. Did you got a mail back from edu-sci asking if they are sending workers/brood also? And how about this lady? Is it just a queen?

No email from edu sci But I'm assuming it's just a queen. Same with the lady no workers no brood just queen. I thought the spanish lady would be in span? Also she said if one dies I'l just have to pay for postage for another not sure if edu sci will charge postage but I know they will send another if it dies.

I thought she was in the UK Anyway I guess edu-sci is the most safe option then. Just a shame they are without workers but that should not be a real problem.

How does she sound to you animal, from your own experience with her? oh and this is the email I got back from her... Hi I normally charge 5 euros a queen, plus 5 euros postage (4-5 days delivery, express is 5 euros more). If you buy 3 or more it is 5 euros per queen and 10 euros postage. BUT if you are a business and buy in bulk I do the following: 20 queens will be 75 euros plus 15 euros postage. I will post on the monday for you, if it is express post so they should reach you within 2 days (3 days at the latest). Normal post is 4-5 days. If they are delayed due to the UK postal service I cannot do alot about it, my policy is if they die I resend new ones but you cover the postage. I have only had trouble with deaths during UK postal strikes...I sent a batch of 200 the very day they announced the strike and they did not get deliverd for 12 days after, I couldn´t claim even though I insured the package because they were perishable items. Ok I hope it helps Melloney So I'm considering her now but will have to ask my mum

She seems nice indeed, 4-5 days is about the same as I had with my lasius niger when ordering from antstore. Time is not really a problem, the queen only needs water and I'm sure she add plenty of water to the tube.

No it's advertised as no postage charge. You live in England and I live in Ireland and it took 3 working days to reach me so how can it be quicker?
