For those who don't know an ant mill is where ant who get lost follow the ant in front of them
If a series of ants get lost then you might get a situation where ant A is following ant B which in turn is folowing ant C and ant C is following ant A creating an ant circle which more and more ants get sucked into.
What I want to know is what is the best way to correct this and stop the ants dieing of exhaustion ?

Given the small space that ants are kept in. I dont think they will be lost for very long before stumbling on an ant that knows where she is going or finding the nest again.

Maybe leave a small trail of sugar back to where you see the actual food trail?
