Hello, Well I was just catching some bugs and npticed lasius niger workers out foraging!!!!!! Today in London its says that it will rain so after raining should I go and see if any queens come out? I am so happy ants are coming out and spring is coming!!! WOOT! WOOT! Thanks, animal123

because I read that when its a sunny day, if it rains and then stops is when queens come out

I put some jelly for them and koolkids secret recipe and they went straight for it

First seen L niger, this year on the 13/03. @11:00ish. (14c) Been looking since the temp' over 5c. No M rubra as yet they seem to start at a higher temp but carry on longer at lower temps. last year I first spotted M/r's on 01/04! @21c (No honest!) ;D
