That would suggest to me she is probably mated but does not feel comfortable in the test tube. Can you move her somewhere that has soil?

well if she has mated i would love to put her right into my Formicarium that ive built and she can get on right away and build a nest, the thing is im worried about that dint in her bottom, i want a good healthy queen you see, will that dint fill out again or will it stay like that?

The dint in her bubble will stay like that. It shouldn't cause any proplems, I've had plenty of ants with the same sort of thing.

I've put her into the formicarium and she seems more obsessed with trying to escape than with digging a nest, she also got past my vasaline layer i have at the top, i I;ve had to pace a tempary lid on there until i finish making one

If she started to shred her wings it is highly likely that she is mated.

so I've got back from my evening of activates and eagerly checked the formicarium to see if she has started to dig a nest, but see she hasnt yet, and is still focused on trying to get out, Dose it normaly take a while for them to settle down and get on with it? Also she still hasnt shed the last of her 2 wings

What is the state of the ant farm? Is there soil in it? Is the soil damp?

Oh that should be fine for here. I would keep it all dark for a couple of days so she can settle in well.
