hey there, i have these queen, but do not know wht species is it, ( ive posted pic in the other ant species thread). the point is that only 2 ants hatched out for now after about a week , which is today it started turning around as though it is being tortured and died ... my soo depressed no w, they r now in a gypsum plaster formicarium , what shall i do ..pls help

Unfortunately things like this may happen and there is little you can do other than offer them food.also check your nest for any residue of plaster dust etc

Em i would advise honey but it doesnt really make a difference or maybe try syrup if you have it , i looked at the contents of mine at home and syrup has three times the energy properties of honey

That probably has more to do with the concentrations of sugar, rather than the type of sugar (or maybe even the serving size.) Honey is made by insects, for insects. ;D

One massive part of queens is waiting. Don't get too anxious because things may not be going the way you expect. Sometimes you just have to wait, clear and simple.
Not always the best advice. Once I waited 8 MONTHS for a bull ant queen to have babies and she didn't, just sat there for almost a year and then died : ( turns out she had missed the mating flight : (
