Flavus Bin Lid.
It might be better to save it as a Word 2003 document (doc. instead of docx.) as it will be compatible for more people.

Thank-you Myrm and Stender. I am going to be adding a few things to it. I forgot a miner step I was going to add into it. However it really won't affect things to much. Will get it updated this week I hope.

Good tutorial, it could've benefitted from some pictures or illustrations (im a sometimes illustrator/graphic designer if you want any help with prettyfying it). Also it wasn't clear (to me): where can i find aphids? Sorry if that's a stupid question. I understand they live on plants, but is there a particular kind of plant i should look for them on? Nettles, brambles that kind of thing? Also which ants will tend to aphids? Im still undecided as to which kind of ant to start my first colony with, and them having an activity like tending aphids would factor into my decision (do Lasius Niger?)
EDIT: Now i feel dumb. Of course Lasius Niger raise aphids. However are there any other beginner-friendly ants that do? Aside from Lasius Flavus and Niger.

Yeah, I never got around to actually making this thing a really nice tutorial. Generally speaking aphids are found on new growth. Where the plant is still really soft. I tend to find them on flowering plants, on the newest growth close to the flowers. I believe that rosebushes and fruit plants are favourites of them. Umm there are so many species that tend them I am not sure where to start. What size and/or genus of ant are you wanting to keep?
