I want a straight answer here , Can my colony of around 300 Rubra's Live with no other sugar than Sugar water? I give them a diet of 1-5 flies per week and the occasional Mealworm but Only Sugar Water. They don't like any other types of sugar and I really could try some more but I'd rather not. Do you think they would be okay, they seem to be fine at the moment.

The workers would be fine but the larvae need protein.

Yes, The Larvae get Lot's of Protein, I also see Many callows in the tube Leading to the Foraging area with the queen.
Aslong as sugar isn't necessary I will be fine.

Just feeding them sugar water should be fine
