I am designing a nest to sell and would like to know if being able to remove the glass is something you would want on a nest.

Sounds more risky than convenient.

Sounds more risky than convenient. What do you mean?

Sure, there has been a time when I wish I could open a formicarium without needing to cut the glass from the stone/plaster, but this effectively never happens. I would be concerned about the glass becoming ajar after a bump or fall. It just seems unnecessary.

Would be very handy for cleaning provided it was very secure when in use.

Yes, I'd like to remove the glass once in a while, so I can take a better look and clean etc.

It will probably be secured with nuts then.
