I have found my First Queen from the Great Flight's. I think she is Lasius Fuliginosus because I found her near a Hedgerow and he has a Black body and Yellowy legs. I placed her in a Small Box with Damp Cotton Wool.
I also placed in her Container a Large CLump of Lasius Niger Pupae. I can't wait to see what happens.
Update: 03 July 09, 21.40.
It has been about an hour since placing the Pupae into her Container. She has Rounded them up and is currently making a Pile of them in one side of the Container. At the moment she is Exploring her Container.
Update: 04 July 09, 10.30.
It has been around twelve hours now since introducuing the Pupae. She has finished moving them into a large clump, and now she is cleaning her self. On numerous occasions I see rummering around the clump checking on the Pupae. She doesn't explore as much now, I think she has settled in. Let's hope things go ok in the next few hours. Fingers Crossed.
Also she and her sister aren't afraid of Light as some other Lasius Queens i have Heard on the Forum are.
Update: 04 July 09, 11.54.
She has been with the Clump over the past hours. She has also suprised me by producing 3 eggs which are on top of the Clump of Pupae. I wonder what will happen if they hatch.
Update: 04 July 09, 20.20.
The Young Queen has just layed 2 more Eggs.
Update: 06 July 09, 09.28.
The Queen is conitueing to Lay Eggs in a dip in the Clump. Suprisely she is also putting some Cocoons to the sides of the clump. At least 1cm away if not more. This behaviuor is very worrying.
