I see people are worried about what happens if they feed their ants with a creature that uses poison for defence or otherwise. Think about it: what about ants who eat other ants? Most ants use poison or acid but you don't see ants dropping dead from eating other ants, do you? What about ants that eat spiders or scorpions or wasps or other such creatures? Again, you don't see ants dying through eating them, do you?

True, if anything, ants will know instinctively which parts of the creature are good to be consumed and which should be discarded. The only problem with live food is giving them things that can defend themselves. Most flies are harmless, but spiders, wasps ect can put up a fight, so I wouldn't consider putting these in live unless the colony's that large that the prey can be quickly subdued.

Ive been wondering, Myrm said daddylong legs spiders are the most VENOMOUS spiders in the WORLD but dont have the fangs to deploy the VENOM. ... That is what I used to believe, but I now know it all to be completely false. None of the Daddy-Long-Legs insects are poisonous, or at least there is no substantial evidence of it.
