There is going to be another flight where I am again tonight. I also think that carpentor ants have had a flight as I saw a winged queen wandering around. didn't have a container though.

Yes that is why I try and be careful. However the nanitic workers don't have to hard of bite. Found that out while feeding them. She came out of nowhere.

I googlit and if I find a good website I add to favourites. The mating flights usually occur in july and august according to a couple internet sites. What is this website? I'm eager to find out when the flights are in my area as I have a long stretch of hard packed dirt road in front of my home which makes for easy queen collecting.

Sadly I no longer have the website. I learned all I needed to and deleted it. I am sure a google or bing search would find a similiar website for you.

I read on another forum that Lasius Flavus is flying, interesting that this thread poped up here too. I wish we had Lasius Flavus here =(. I caught two prenelopis imparis queens not long ago!
Its still rainy here where I live. I really hope I don't miss out on campanatous flights >.<

We haven't had rain for a couple days but there should be some in the middle of the week so I hope for another mating. (I love to keep camponotus to.)
