Really? I can guarantee you that you would get fed up with the high temperatures with the high humidity of where we are spending the next 8 months; where you are constantly sweating and unable to get away from it - you'll be begging for snow again.

7 October 2012, Sunday
Just got back onboard the ship after spending 4 days at home. The single winged queen is dead; drowned believe it or not. The cotton wool bung behind which was the water must have been seeping. There a water lump on the floor of the tube and she, somehow, got stuck in it. I will probably feed her to the Warship nigers who seem to be doing okay right now.

15 October 2012, MondayJust a quick update as I am vary tired and my bed is calling me. These ants continue to do well. No cocoons as yet but the larvae look healthy enough. I think the warship nigers liked their first visit to Gibraltar. ;D Oh, and Dermy; the bettles are good too.

27 October 2012, SaturdaySorry for the lack of updates on my Warship niger. I haven't really looked at the for the past 2 weeks. I checked them today and I am pleased to say they are alive and well and seem to be enjoying life at sea. The larvae are still developing but I don't think the queen has laid any more eggs. I gave them a fly, a bettle and a dead queen ant I found. They are still living inside the test tube they arrived in. They are enjoying their vary first visit to France. ;D Oh, and the bettles are doing fine too but no mealworms as yet
