It depends on the species. No luck from my queen so far so I believe her eggs may be dying. might be a temperature thing, though now it's hit 25 degrees constantly, day and night, so hopefully that may change. Came across this species of Iridomyrmex, www.antwiki.org/Iridomyrmex_victorianusThat's another possibility for the type of ants we may have. These guys are the same genus as the Meat Ants, and they both display the same foraging behaviour (even though these guys are much much smaller than meat ants)
