If you could have ANY species of ant, what would it be? Forget things like high prices, low availability, laws, expensive maintenance, etc.. Mine would probably be a Myrmecia species. They're so cool!

Soleponis Invicta! I here that colonies grow huge!! And I like aggresive ants.... If not either an atta species or something like.. P.Diversus.

At one point I was very tempted to buy a colony of Pheidologeton diversus.

I would probably get an atta species I like all the different castes and the way they get their food. Or I' also love Polyrhachis sokolova but there home would be Vary hard to replicate in a tank. the latter I think would be an intresting species for zoos to keep

For me it's Camponotus ligniperda. (Yay, I have 2 colonies anyway) ;-) But I have always liked the idea of leaf cutter ants, maybe Atta cephalotes, or an Acromyrmex.

Lasius niger. It'd be even more awesome if Lasius niger had large-headed soldiers. Imgaine how naughty they would be! >.<

At the moment, my dream species is tied with Lasius neoniger and a Myrmecosystus species (Honey pots).
