Can you feed Flavus above Ground? :/ You can do but they never seem to quite grasp the idea that the food can be found aboveground. Often they don't bother looking above ground. The only way to do this, it seems, is to keep the "aboveground" bit in darkness too. So, how is it possible to keep them if they hardly forage above ground?

It's not easy at all and it's made even more difficult by the fact that I spend so much time away from home. This is a species I am going to have to keep on trying with once I am home for good (which may not be for another 3.5 years )

2 January 2011, Sunday
First journal entry of the year and perhaps the last for a while as I am away from home from today until mid-April.
Just fed my ants for the last time until I am next home. I don't really know if these ants will survive 4 months without food as they have eaten nothing that I have given them in the last 2 weeks.
The drawbacks to my job I guess.
