In fact insects are a much healthier diet then meat, their vet/protein ratio is a lot better. Can't remember the numbers though. Also breeding insects are not as bad for the environment as breeding cows/pigs/sheeps/etc. If I recall correct 70% of the human population has eaten insects, it's us Europeans and Americans who find it strange to do so. Personally I never really had the chance to try it, but I would sure love to

nearly everyone in the world has eaten insects some without even knowing it e.g weevils in your cereal or cheese mites in cheese.
