I have noticed over night that quite a bit of condensation is occuring. Is this any harm to the ants? did the sand not dry out enough? So far they dont seem bothered at all but better to ask and know then not know and your ants die *_*
Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I couldnt find anything on it.

You can take of the lid, put cooking oil on the rim and turn the fan on in the room and it should get the air going

Yeah to be honest my house isnt naturally warm. Ive been taking the lid off and cleaning it when I see it building up after a few hours. Unfortunitly I dont have a fan. Maybe it will stop after a while. I think I used too much water to begin with.

EDIT: Just went to do that and the condensation has stopped. Nothing at all. Guess I just used too much water initially.
Thanks

Condensation surely isn't all bad. If it's only a little... then the ants would just drink it up ;D Well... that's what my niger queen did

Fair enough, if it was a small colony like 10 workers then it's bad. Big colonies maybe in a ytong can have "sauna" rooms yes

In the past, i used cotton inside the nest to absorb some moisture. it works, but only removes some condensation.
