Before I go on vacation...they are still doing good. Don't see any new deaths, and the queens are still alive. I gave them some crickets and honey. Plus refilled the two test tubes that hold water for them. They haven't done too much digging, but that isn't too surprising...like I said, they aren't much of a digging species. And luckily, their nest is right on the side of the aquarium. When I was putting in dirt, it made kind of a natural cavern on one of the sides. So I can always see them. I see even a couple clusters of eggs and some larvae! After 6 months they "should" really speed up in population growing. That is what happened with my Pogonomyrmex californicus I used to have, my Solenopsis xyloni and my Solenopsis invicta. All three of those species I had did really good, and at the 6 months mark...their population just took off. I'm guessing my Pheidole hyatti will do the same.

Well, my colony isn't eating anything I give them. Not honey or any insect I've found for them. And it looks like there is a lot less workers and soldiers. My two queens look healthy enough, though. But the eggs they had seemed to have disappeared. Wonder whats wrong.

Well, this morning I had 20 workers+5 soldiers. I put in termites for them to eat, I killed the termites individually before putting them in. I kept extra termites for later.
6 hours later, my entire ant colony is dead...only two queens, one major and one worker are alive. And my new termite colony is dead too, after 6 hours there isn't a single one alive.
