doesnt ants got any poison in there sting? Yes some species inject formic acid when they sting, for example myrmica rubra, and others spray it, like formica rufa. Both them pics are off of my site

... Yes some species inject formic acid when they sting, for example myrmica rubra ... I'm afraid I'm going to have to correct you there, Jolon. Myrmica do not use formic acid; they inject a poison through their stings. Formicine ants, such as Lasius and Formica, do use formic acid.

No fair, they completely omitted the reproductive aspect of the ant's anatomy! Even workers I'm assuming have an "underdeveloped" reproductive system, like bees...

Thank you very insightful, I knew ants evolved from wasps but I didn't realise all ants have stingers, but I'm guessing not all use it?
