Hey all, I've decided to share with you one of my formicariums. I call the nest line "Average Joe. This nest is made up of an extensive network of interconnected pores and channels for optimal moisture absorbency and breathability. The nature of this open pore technology and durability allows the perfect setting for founding queens and large colonies. These nests are extremely lightweight (weighing less than pumice stone in the same size) and are coated at 1 1/3 of the bottom with silicone as a water reservoir. I've done my homework with the material and I've found that this nest automatically optimizes conditions for ants. The chambers are carefully calculated and specifically designed to best suit the ants' needs. Each nest I create has proven successful for my ant colonies (native and exotic). They may not look 100% pretty yet, but hell they work. The moisture absorbency is phenomenal. To see it in action, check out the moisture absorbency in action, see my YouTube video @ Anyone with questions about these nests and how they work can email me at vasile.atta@gmail.com Cheers & enjoy the pics! More pics can be found here at my album: antsnational.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=13434504This is not an advertisement. Cheers, Vasile - - - - - Attachments:

If this was in the MANF store, then I think it would be okay, atleast he is not advertising in Chatango, they do look nice, but I feel VARY reluctant to buy...

Why do you feel this way about me? I did you no wrong. I'm just offering the world a revolutionary upgrade to the alternative pumice, ytong, and plaster materials.

I am sorry for what I said above, I am now actually considering buying "average joe" Im trying to make my own Y-tong nest at the moment, I have made one on my own, and one with my dad. But Im unsure whether to buy a Antsnational Ytong nest, or QueenAntShop nest, or the Tar heel ants nest, they all look great, which is why Im having a hard time choosing

Take a look at pricing, materials, and what's offered and see what deal is best. ;-) I've been around making nests for a while, I just decided to go public about a year ago. I also have a material that soaks water up and retains like a sponge lol way better than ytong, pumice, plaster or anything else for that matter! I hate sounding like a salesman but I'm so damn proud that I have something unique and compatible for any kind of ant!

They look awsome vas!
On a side note do you wish for me to move this to the ant nest part or to keep it here?

Hey Dermy, To be honest it's your call I'm still not familiar with the forum layout. Getting the hang of it though! Also, if you're interested in meeting someone who may help you with the science factor to Dermestids, add me to facebook. I will link you to a few curators and young experts. Cheers, Vasile B.

Hello Myrm,
Great to see you here! I wonder if Dermy has finally gotten in trouble for having flesh-eating beetles ;-) (My mother would feed me to them.)
Is there a way in which we can speak Myrm? I hear many good things!
Cheers, Vasi
