In spring I am selling alot of my old stuff in a car boot after my Sunday Football League finishes. I am going to invest alot of money in buying some Ant Farms + Colonies. I was wondering what ants you think I should get and what farms/kits are good for value off antstore. Please bear in mind I can pick up LN IN SUMMER, and I already have 1 colony of them and tweedie (eventually) will be sending me some more. Plus I have 1 colony of Messor B. So, what ants? Thanks for the input

I would say get beginner ants such as M.Rubra (?) and farms also sutiable for someone who is just starting out in antkeeping.
The reason I say this is becasue you must think of the target audience - most people at the carboot will have never kept ants before and so you'll need to give them all the basic info and supplies ;D

It all depends on how much you are willing to spend.

I would probably get an interesting exotic species. You might be able to afford some of the cheaper leafcutters with that.

Yes....! They look very good. Though they need a lot of space and definitely need heating.
But. They are said to be very aggressive in hunting thus they may need live food, they are also vary dangerous, so if they escape, they may
a) EAT YOU IN YOUR SLEEP! b) You will get fined for damage they are likely to cause.

I would like a few tanks and colonies, I was looking at Lasius Umbratus and probably a campo species. But a cremogastor spec would be fun too. I am not going for a 100quid difficult exotic species, if they died I would be 100 pound out of pocket :/

The c. Ligneperdus, asd giant colony. Although expensive, a giant colony would be great.
