Yes of course, will be after tea tonight though, in like 2-3 hours whatever time that is where you are! It's still heavier than I wanted it to be as it's in my living room atm but I am hoping to move it into my spare room in a few weeks/months when I get it cleaned out, then I can leave the window open and heating off so it should be cold enough for them (2 colonies so far) to hibernate more naturally, I put my small Lasius niger colony in the fridge this winter but that won't be possible with this tank for obvious reasons.

Getting very close to completion now =) What do you all think? I haven't covered the brick fully in sand or stone because it is easy to add it later on if needed than to cover it now and want to remove it

I would keep it how it is now. The ants would not like to deal with having stone across the whole surface as it would make dragging the insects back to the nest a lot more difficult. I also suggest that you leave the sand how it is because you can check the water levels that way. Here are two exalts for your efforts at keeping us updated and your great work. Flavus

Yes I agree with what you're saying Flavus, it does make the most sense. The stones are not as smooth as I expected (was hard to see them in the bag when I purchased) so they would have a hard time crossing them anyway, but I think it looks nice hence why I only put a bit down one edge.
Also the water is not soaking into the nest as much as I thought it would, it only reached first level chambers yesterday and has reached level two today so I am learning how often I will need to water, maintaining a balance so it's not the same wetness throughout.
Thanks.

That is really good. I didn't notice you had posted the final thing.
Well done!

Thank you =)
Sadly the Queen dropped the first batch of eggs (that she laid since I have had her) into a gap between the glass and brick out of reach so they were lost and she has not laid anymore as of yet.
I fed her and her lone worker honey and some protein and her gaster is now huge so I'm hoping she will lay again soon, at least she looking healthy now anyway, she was looking so thin!
